Zoom classes: what our members say!

I have been regularly attending the Thursday zoom session. I find it useful at keeping my muscles working, since it obviously employs many sets of nerves and muscles that I don’t exercise in my normal, admittedly fairly sedentary, life. It is also useful as a regular 45 minutes of continuous activity, which I am lazy enough to avoid otherwise.

I find MiW as an organisation a great comfort for Parkinson’s sufferers and feel very lucky that I’ve now become part of this community. The Zoom sessions showed real care and understanding so nobody is left feeling isolated. The content of Zoom is fun and accessible with upbeat music. Participants feel valued. I think Beatrice and Chris with Donna conduct the sessions with passion and professionalism. I can’t thank them enough for their support and what they offer. I end the session with more energy and a will to face Parkinson’s.

Google Classroom archive is an excellent resource. I can access it whenever I want and choose to do as much as I’m able to do. I have my favourite dances which I can revisit whenever I want to.

During lockdown, the exercise classes organised by MIW were an important focal point of my week and continue to be so. Having Parkinson’s, it is helpful to see other friendly faces who are in a similar situation to me and the classes are always fun and helpful. The teachers are very professional and well prepared and I always enjoy the music, especially when it helps me imagine I am actually becoming a late developed ballet dancer!
